Our name reflects that 90% of our patients are horses but we are committed to serving our non-equids too! An equid is “any of various hoofed mammals of the family Equidae, which includes horses, donkeys, and zebras. Equids have muscular bodies with long, slender legs adapted for running and a single hoofed digit at the end of each limb.”
Rest assured, EquidDoc remains committed to our non-equid patients and we look forward to each and every appointment with our goat, alpaca, sheep, and llama patients.

Yes, we perform equine dentistry from routine floating to more complex tooth x-rays and extractions.

Yes. We encourage our clients to ask questions about their animals. Call the office at 508-885-4205 and ask to speak to one of the veterinarians. This enables us to determine the best course of action for both you and your animal. If the veterinarian is not in the office, she will reply to your call within 24 hours, or to your email usually within 1 business day, if not sooner.

In the case of an emergency during business hours call 508-885-4205. After-hours please call 508-797-5921 to contact the veterinarian on call. The veterinarian will call you back within 15 minutes. (Please stay by and off your phone so we can return your call.) On rare occasions we might be in an area with poor cell phone reception or responding to another emergency. Be assured that we will return your call as soon as possible.
Note that EquidDoc Veterinary Services, LLC provides 24 hours a day, 365 days a year emergency service to our clients. We treat horses, goats, sheep, alpacas, and llamas. Sorry but we DO NOT treat cows, pigs or barnyard fowl.

EquidDoc Veterinary Services provides veterinary care to clients located in central Massachusetts. This area includes greater Worcester county.

Call the office at 508-885-4205 to order and arrange for shipping or pick up of your prescriptions. Prescriptions can be picked up during office hours, if arranged in advance, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Dr. Caitlin Eaton is the owner and has been working in the area since 2010. Dr. Tessa Lumley joined EquidDoc in 2018, and Dr. Liz Forbes joined EquidDoc in 2019. Our certified veterinary technicians are Chrissy Lane and Renee Gregoire, who also doubles as our office manager.

Yes! EquidDoc Veterinary Services, LLC was founded by Dr. Caitlin Eaton and her husband, Sam. Our office is located in Spencer, MA. On-the-farm ambulatory veterinary care is provided to all our clients throughout Central Massachusetts. We support our local agricultural communities!

Payment is due at the time of service. EquidDoc Veterinary Services accepts cash, check, and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover). We do not accept Care Credit. Note: We do not accept post-dated checks nor do we hold checks for deposit. There is a $20 fee for returned checks.

Yes, you can arrange to have payments automatically charged to your credit card. Call the office during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at 508-885-4205 to provide your credit card information. We accept the following major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Because appointments often include additional testing or time to discuss the condition and treatment of the patient, we cannot always predict how long each appointment will last. This makes it necessary to estimate our time of arrival within a two-hour window.

Please have your animal or animals in a stall or small enclosed area with a halter or collar on. It is always greatly appreciated that your animals are dry when we work on them.

All Buck Hill Veterinary Service medical records were transferred to and are maintained by EquidDoc Veterinary Services, LLC unless you specifically requested otherwise.
